The Best Kids Ever

I know…everyone says this, but it is true. Our kids are so sweet. They are loving and kind and want to share their love with everyone.

Wesley is always giving hugs and kisses. He will kiss you elbow, knee, arm, cheek, nose… for no reason at all, but to give you a kiss. He gives them to me, Joshua, Jillian, other parents and other kids.
Wesley will thank you for doing regular stuff. Like at dinner - he will say “Thank you for making this nice dinner” and today walking back from the pond he said “Thank you for the nice little walk to the pond”.

Jillian blows kisses without being prompted. At bedtime when I say goodnight to Wesley and I am holding her she will blow him a kiss. She knows that goodnight means giving kisses.
Jillian will wave hello and goodbye to everyone. But her favorite person to say hello, goodbye or blow kisses to is Joshua. She loves her daddy!!

I am so grateful to have sweet kids, it just makes any bad behavior more tolerable because I know that the hard times won’t last long and my happy/loving kids will return a wave, a hug and/or a kiss.

Fabulous Father

Happy Father’s Day Joshua!!!

This is what the kids did for Daddy…

We all love you very much.  You are a fabulous father.

Jillian is 10 Months

Today Jillian is 10 months. Little baby Jillian is really all gone now and sweet toddler Jillian has emerged.

Today she started saying NO. She shakes her head and pulls her fists in close to her body.

She also is doing an amazing job with her walking, cruising and standing. Today I stood her up after a diaper change and she then took 3 steps to the chair all on her own. I tried to get her to do it again, but she was too excited and happy to focus.

And she is eating a TON! She must be growing because she is eating as much as Wesley. She is also trying to cut 2 of her bottom teeth right now - so she has been sleeping very poorly. Hopefully they will cut though soon and give us all a break.

It is so great to watch her grow and learn. I wonder what she will learn/do tomorrow.

This is the chair that she took those 3 steps to.

10 months

This afternoon we took the kids to the Austin Children’s Museum. Here is Jillian in the toddler area.

And here she is having fun with Mom and Dad.

I know you don’t like to celebrate your birthday - but to me it is a wonderful day. Here are just a few reason why:

  • 29 years ago you were born.
  • 18 years ago we finished the sixth grade together.
  • 11 years ago we started dating.
  • 5 years ago (almost) we were married.
  • 3 years ago I was pregnant with Wesley.
  • 1 year ago I was pregnant with Jillian.
  • And today we all get to remember the big and little events that have helped to make you the person you are today.

I am the luckiest woman in the world to have you as my friend and husband. You are the type of father that I always wanted for my children. They are truly lucky to have you!

Today we will celebrate your 29th Birthday very simply: Hunter Cake, Four Bean Salad and a special puzzle that Wesley and I made just for you.

I love you with all of my heart… Happy Birthday to You!!!!!!!
