Chuy’s Loves Elvis

Well, I missed it because I was in  Houston for the day working on some access control stuff.  Chuy’s the local Tex-Mex mecha had their annual January 8th celebration.  For those of you that don’t know January 8th is Elvis’ birthday.

Chuy’s always has the Elvis Presley Memorial Platter as well as a few other Elvis themed dishes on the menu, but January 8th is special in a few ways.

1. If you dress up as Elvis you get to eat for free.  No half-assed costumes here though.  You’ve got to do it up right.
2. They have Elvis impersonators at the restaurants for the evening.
3. You get a free Twinkie with your meal.

Ah well…Maybe next year.
