I used to think it was funny that my mom packed Dave’s lunch for him. Seemed a little silly to be honest. But since we’ve moved to Austin Amber has been packing my lunch after dinner. I always take leftovers and I used to pack them up in the wee hours of the morning. It only takes her a few minutes to pack it up for me, but makes my morning so much easier. I smile each and every morning when I see it. Thank you sweetheart for all of the wonderful things you do that make my life better.
Your mom does a lot of “silly” things for me; but that’s why I love her so much. Read any “relationship help” book and they all say “tell him/her you love them every day”. My lunch is her note. (As is the napkin. And the “prize”!)
I’m not as good at daily stuff like her, I’m more of a “grand gesture” kind of guy, but the bed gets made every day, and I tell her, verbally, every day.
Amber IS wonderful. So is your Mom. We are lucky men.
Amber IS wonderful! I’ve always admired the little things that she does for you. Mostly cause they are things I hate to do, like cook and make lunches and she does them with such joy. You have an amazing wife, Joshua. And I feel blessed that she’s my friend! I sure miss you guys!
