Jillian has done 13 weeks of this super fun class.  Her classes have been with the city of Edmonds at the Anderson Center.  They have a lot of wonderful gymnastics classes each quarter.
Tuesday was Jillian’s last day of her gymnastics class.

Warming up with jingle bells.

Prancing with knees up high like a reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh.

Stretching before their obstacle course.

Pretending to ice scate and lifting her leg backwards.

Walking up the balance beam with airplane arms.

And jumping off the beam.

Here is obstacle course number 2:

Rolling over the giant snowball and then down the ramp.

Hold the snowball between your feet and then put your feet up on the bar.

Slide on your belly down the snowy hill.

Hands on green - feet on wall.

Hop on and then hop off.

Time to clean up the obstacle course.

Then they got to do some swinging.

And they finished with lots of jumping on the long trampoline.

Then Jillian stood on the blue podium and got her award.

Then the kids sat down to get their stamps.  They get them on their hands and their feet.  :)

Then after class they had a mini celebration with cookies, juice and even goody bags.

Way to go Jillian!

We will be taking a break from gymnastics after this quarter.  She really wants to do a ballet class next… :)

On Sunday Adrianne came over and we decorated our tree.
Joshua of course put up the snowman topper.

Wesley and Jillian did most of the decorating, but we each took turns helping the kids put ornaments up on the higher branches.

Auntie Dri is so great with the kids!

And then we were done…

I wanted to try to get a family photo – but of course the kids would not cooperate for us.

We'll try again later in the week.

Trader Joe’s is selling large gingerbread men.  So we decided to try decorating them this year.

Adrianne and I worked on our own, while Wesley and Jillian got help from Joshua.

All 4 cookies. Left to right: Amber, Jillian, Adrianne & Wesley

We could not have spent this very rainy Sunday in any better way!

On Saturday we met Mom and Dave and the kids at Big Lake Trees.  Luckily Joshua follows the best weather blog and we timed it so we did not get caught in the rain.  Thank you Cliff Mass!

We knew we wanted a noble fir – so we drove up to their upper lot.  They had a lot for us to choose from.

It was really hard to choose a tree.  Jillian liked just about everyone…

She liked this one right away.

Wesley was not picky – he just wanted to cut them all down!

Practicing his cutting.

Jillian really liked this small one!

Another suggestion - but we still can't decide.

We finally found one!

Trying for a group picture in front of the tree...

Joshua started the cutting – Wesley tried with all his might…but could not finish the cut – the Joshua finished cuttting it down.  Good thing the tree’s trunk was pretty small.

Doing his part to cut the tree down.

Back to the car we go.

While Joshua tied the tree to the car – I took a few more pictures.

With Yaya & Papa

They choose the tiniest tree to take a picture next to...

We then drove to Sedro-Woolley to make pizzelle cookies.

Heating up the irons.

Everyone dig in!

We all worked together to make a ton of little balls of dough.

We have enough to start cooking!

Can you tell which ones the kids made??  :)

The iron on the left is ours. The iron on the right is Kathleen's - who got it from her grandmother, Nani.

Quality testing...

They are so beautiful.

So as you can see… we had a very busy Saturday!

Wesley is so excited to be 5.  Today he told me: “no one will see the 4 year old Wesley at school any more.”

He has grown into a loving, caring, strong and very capable boy.

As of today’s well check he is:

  • 42 1/2 pounds (55th percentile)
  • 43 1/2 inches (60th percentile)

Here are Wesley’s last 4 years…
