The Guests of Honor
Today Tiah and I hosted Becca’s baby shower – for her little Lila. Lila is Due in February, but everyone thinks Lila June will be coming soon! The shower was perfect. It took about 3 weeks of planning and many trips to hobby lobby, but the results were amazing! Our hard work really paid off…
Our theme was pink and brown daisies.
Fourteen of us gathered at Heartsong Music for a couple hours fun. We played a baby themed bingo and sang a special song that was written just for Lila. We ate some wonderful food and had a hard time picking out Mat and Becca from their baby pictures.
Everything looked GREAT!
The daisy cupcakes and chocolate dipped strawberries.
The rolls, butter and spinach salad.
The lime cream cheese fruit spread and sweet and sour meatballs.
The veggies & crackers with ranch and roasted bell pepper dips.
The cups, plates, and gifts.
Gifts for Becca, name cards, name buttons, a frame for all guests to sign and goody bags.
Things that I worked on were: daisy cupcakes, lime cream cheese and fruit, sweet & sour meatballs, veggies and dip, name buttons, name cards, and the pink and brown daises painted on the brown bags. Inside them were a handful of cherry filled kisses and a picture of becca.

Things that Tiah worked so hard on were the: spinach salad, chocolate covered strawberries, rolls and the big beautiful flowers that were hung on the wall.
It was Taylor’s (Tiah’s Daughter) idea to do the big wall flowers. Tiah and Taylor worked on them together. There were five of them. Two were pink with brown centers and three were brown with pink centers. The 3 brown ones said: Lila June Myers.
They really added a wonderful touch to the shower.
Tiah and I really had a great time planning and putting on this shower. It was so special to see Becca having a fabulous time.
And thanks to Carey for letting us have the shower at Heartsong and for bringing all of the drinks! All of our pink and brown looked wonderful in the blue room.

Now Becca is pretty much set for Lila’s arrival. Thank you to EVERYONE for coming and for being such a lovely group of friends to Becca.
